Mar Haze are a four piece outfit from the Northern Beaches [of Sydney], fusing their laid back surfer attitudes, a pride taken in exceptional musicianship and a penchant for the blues, jazz and hip hop to create an uplifting explosion of sound- there is also a strong element of soul prevalent in their sound, characterised by hearty vocals. Mar Haze are able to be suitably groovy and completely fun focused- it only takes one listen of their latest single Dancing in the Water to firmly get the picture.

Infectious rhythms and catchy hooks are a staple of their debut EP Summer Sessions, which has been touted as highly successful and bred a consistent level of touring, with plenty of stops along the coast for a surf of course! If you enjoy the sounds of Vance Joy you will surely take a liking to Mar Haze, who have made it a mission of theirs to create music that is energetic and sure to please, yet very easy listening. Keys and guitar form a funky bed rock for the strong vocal performances that help carve an individual place for Mar Haze on the music scene.
Having built an audience supporting the likes of Australian blues legends Ash Grunwald and Mat McHugh, Mar Haze received their break as the feature artist of the Australian Surfing Open. This has skyrocketed the band from emerging on the scene to selling out their own shows to capacity.
