Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards 2023: Celebrating Musical Magic Through Lenses

With a brand new judging panel, including the likes of Cat Burns and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and renowned photographer Rankin as the lead judge, the 2023 edition promises to be a celebration of the best music photography of 2022.

From the ‘Portrait Award’ to the ‘Icon Award’, an esteemed panel of industry experts, including Vicky Grout, Karen Binns, and Eric Johnson, will be selecting the winners in the invited categories.

Additionally, Abbey Road Studios’ photographer-in-residence Simon Wheatley will join the judging panel for the ‘Underground Scenes’ category. The awards also offer six open-invite categories, such as ‘Music Moment of The Year Award’ and ‘Hip Hop 50’, providing opportunities for photographers of all backgrounds to showcase their work.
