Jack River and Baker Boy amongst ARIA Week’s 2021 guests

With ARIA week kicking off next Friday, there are some important panel discussions, workshops and exciting virtual performances on the menu.

Next Friday the 19th of November marks the start of the 9th annual ARIA Week, and the program of digital events, panels, and performances is looking good.

It all sounds pretty exciting, and we’re always here for a week of championing Australian music, not to mention sparking important conversations about the future of the industry.

It all starts with the Cultural Change Panel on the Friday. Hosted by Sian Van Der Muelen from Point Blank Group (aka Miss Blanks), it will be an important discussion on representation, equity and inclusion. The whole week will have a focus on igniting change, unification, and community-building.

Other panelists and workshop facilitators include musician, producer, writer, entrepreneur, and promoter Holly Rankin (aka Jack River), and rapper and triple j presenter, Nooky.

The week will wrap up with Nova’s Aria’s at Home, featuring performances from Vance Joy, Tones and I, and Baker Boy. We know, we know – virtual performances just don’t hit the same, and we wouldn’t blame you for being wary, but a line-up like that is hard to ignore.

All of the events are going to be hosted live on the ARIA’s Youtube channel.
