Battlesnake’s new single is a blistering bullet of atomic proportions

Battlesnake have quickly established themselves as one of Sydney’s most formidable live acts.

Effortlessly blending astonishing talent with outrageous entertainment they are carving a unique and brilliant sound and their second single, Atomic Plough is no exception.

Battlesnake

Chugging riffs, soaring solos and spellbinding storytelling encapsulate Atomic Plough, crafting a story of devilish machinery and destruction.

Axes held forth like the great swords of a heroic age the Sydney six-piece have charged the scene with an unstoppable live energy. Roaring guitars and driving rhythms blaze a fiery trail of sonic destruction in their wake.

Forged deep in the fiery pits of the underworld, the Battlesnake rises up to take the earth by storm, and their second single hits hard. Building on the lyrical world crafted in their debut single, Nightmare King, the wailing vocals of Sam Frank spin an equally as compelling tale the second time round. Gone are the wizards, dragons and kings of old; Atomic Plough paints the picture of a deathly machine of satanic proportions, guzzling oil and laying waste to the land around it.

Indeed the crown jewel of Battlesnake is assuredly the tongue in cheek lyricism. Think Tenacious D met Dio at a pub and they started brawl with Deep Purple and you’ll have an idea of their mash up of their sound.

Check out the sheer awesomeness below:

Jokes aside though there is some seriously virtuosic guitar playing and songwriting thrown in there that is an absolute treat to behold. It’s no wonder they have been wowing crowds all along the East Coast achieving something of a fabled live presence from the bewildered, beguiled and befuddled onlookers. Not to mention the sex appeal that is be expected with a song titled Atomic Plough as they don’t mind showing off their sweet man curves. It’s an all round exhibition of unique showmanship and we couldn’t recommend Battlesnake enough!
