Paramore’s new album This Is Why

Paramore’s new album delivers on all of the promise shown by its leading singles. This Is Why showcases a perfect blend of pop and rock, filled with tight grooves, catchy hooks, sharp lyricism, and funky guitar; this album rocks, and may well go down as Paramore’s best.

Gorillaz’s new single Silent Running ft. Adeleye Omotayo

While this single was technically released last week, I failed to include it in our previous Best New Music because I’m a silly goose. Silent Running‘s accompanying music video did come out today though, which is as good of an excuse as any to include this great track in today’s Best New Music.

In true Gorillaz fashion, both the music and accompanying video for Silent Running are absolute perfection, and definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.

Georgia Mooney’s new single War Romance

War Romance is the debut solo single from Georgia Mooney of All Our Exes Live In Texas fame, and what a debut it is. With haunting vocals and expansive, flawless production, War Romance is a track that captivates your attention from start to finish.

Jack River and Genesis Owusu’s new single Endless Summer

Taken from Jack River’s upcoming album of the same name, Endless Summer is a gorgeous, dreamy new track from two of Australia’s best. Co-written by Matt Mason from DMA’S and co-produced by Matt Corby, the track is just as great as you’d expect from that sort of dream team.

Pacific Avenue’s new single Spin Me Like Your Records

Still riding the high of placing in triple j’s Hottest 100 earlier this year, Kiama locals Pacific Avenue have released this absolute belter of a track; Spin Like Your Records is the sort of track that’s best played loud. With a triumphant chorus and walls of overdriven guitars, this first taste of Pac Ave’s upcoming debut album is an instant classic.

Lizzo’s new remix of Special featuring SZA

There’s a lot I could say about this new remix to get across how exciting it is, but let’s be real: this is a collab between Lizzo and SZA we’re talking about here; I don’t need to say anything.

Hope D’s debut album Clash of the Substance

Effortlessly fun and endlessly relatable, this debut album from Brisbane singer-songwriter Hope D is a captivating listen propelled by infectious energy and punchiness.
