Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles announce Bluesfest sideshows

Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles have just announced their debut tour of Australia this April, adding to next year’s eclectic array of Bluesfest sideshows.

Byron Bay’s world-famous Bluesfest have pulled out all the stops for their 2020 lineup and will be bringing an incredible assemblage of iconic music legends to Byron Bay. Now, with the announcement of more sideshows, including Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, everyone is getting excited.

Bringing their unique and freakishly good soul, jazz and gospel music to Australian shores, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles will bless Australia and New Zealand for the very first time.

Cory Henry is among modern music’s most inventive minds. While mastering multiple instruments at a young age, he dominated the stage as a former member of Snarky Puppy. Cory’s name as a solo artist has started to dominate, performing in cities and festivals around the world including Okeechobee, Electric Forest, North Sea Jazz and Love Supreme Festival.

Just last year, Cory independently released his first collection of songs, Art of Love, and has worked with Lauryn Hill, Frank Ocean, J. Cole, and a stack of other music legends to develop his unique sound which has encapsulated fans all over the world. He was also selected by Quincy Jones to headline his curated Soundtrack of America series opening of The Shed in New York City. The upcoming self-titled Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles album is set to be huge.

Comprised of five of the world’s best musicians, hand-picked to bring his musical concepts to life, The Funk Apostles are a worthy band for the charismatic stage presence of Cory Henry. Be sure to catch them in April next year!
