Drift away to the heartfelt indie-rock sounds of The Blenheims’ debut EP Outlast Summer

Drift away to carefree Sundays with The Blenheims debut EP Outlast Summer; a solid four-track collection of love songs that’ll pluck at your heartstrings like a harp.

With the EP’s release, the Sydney-based indie-rock outfit have crafted an offering of bittersweet songs that bop in defiance of heartbreak and are definitely worth your time.

With their rich, full-bodied sound, Sydney-based indie-rock three-piece The Blenheims have delivered an incredible debut EP on Outlast Summer.

The EP’s opening track, Vacation, immediately introduces the band’s dynamic blend of genres. The bass comes in at a canter and the clean guitar chords sweep you along for the ride. The track’s melodic and thoughtful lyrics will have you thinking back to better times, despite their often melancholic undertones. All in all, the result is a superbly smooth, upbeat indie-rock gem.

San Diego backs up strong, telling a compelling, poetic story, reminiscent of the Beat generation. Singer Jordan Forster is stirring up deep emotions of past love, whilst romanticising travel and movement. The amorous, passionate lyrics permeate the body of work creating something like a lyrical blanket over the EP, furthering a consistent sense of longing.

Outlast Summer was produced, mixed and mastered beautifully by Daniel Antix of Def Wolf Studios putting the magic, final touch on a solid debut release from The Blenheims.

So if you are reminiscing on warmer weather, it’s time to chuck on Outlast Summer and drift away with The Blenheims. Listen to the new EP above.
