Drunk Mums share new album ‘Beer Baby’

Beer Baby, Drunk Mums’ first album since 2018, arrives with a pulsating energy and committed effort to partying.

Drunk Mums have today (March 7) released their latest album, a sprawling collection of party anthems titled Beer Baby.

The project marks the Melbourne four-piece’s follow-up to 2018’s Urban Cowboy, and spans ten tracks of relentless, no-holds-barred energy. Beer Baby was previewed by the singles New Australia and Livin’ At Night.

Serving as the natural evolution of the band’s long-running presence in the music scene, Beer Baby blends elements of pub rock, punk, garage and distinct Australiana, with a pulsating undercurrent of frenetic energy and nuanced grooves.

From the frantic and punchy rhythms of Slippin’ Up to the world-ending party anthem that is Apocalypse, Beer Baby finds Drunk Mums at their most blissfully inebriated.

Coinciding with the release, Drunk Mums have announced plans for an upcoming Australian tour. The quartet will take to shows Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne throughout late-May and into June. Find more ticketing and event details here.

The Australian leg adds to Drunk Mums’ slated tour stops across Europe and the UK, where they’ll perform headline dates starting later this month.

Speaking of the creative force behind their music in an interview with Happy Mag, the band said: “We aren’t trying to be something that we are not.”

“A lot of people seem to play what they think people want to hear. The difference is we play what we want to hear. That’s how rock and roll should be.”
