Former porn-star Jenna Jameson loses ability to walk

Jameson has been hospitalised after a rare auto-immune disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, rendered her unable to walk.

The former adult film star has released an emotional video, addressing her fans, wherein she discussed her diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Jameson’s partner, Lior Bitton, has said that she first went into hospital after “not feeling so good” recently. It was following this recent hospitalisation, and numerous tests, that Jameson was diagnosed with the rare syndrome.

Bitton has said that Jameson was “throwing up for a couple weeks” and went to the hospital last week. Following a clean CT scan, however, doctors sent her home.

Following discharge and her return home, Jameson’s symptoms worsened.

In a video, Jameson’s partner Bitton observed: “Then she came back home and she couldn‘t carry herself […] Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn’t able to walk to the bathroom. She was falling on the way back from or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days it got really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn’t able to walk.”

Guillain-Barre Syndrome, according to America’s health agency (CDC), is a “rare, auto-immune disorder in which a person’s own immune system damages the nerves, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis.”

The condition, whilst rare, does have treatment and sufferers tend to be afflicted for weeks to several years. Some, however, will suffer permanent nerve damage.

In an Instagram story, Bitton has announced that Jameson was undergoing a high dose of immunoglobulin therapy.

Addressing the concern of her fans (and perhaps some conspiratorial imaginings at that) Jameson has issued a statement saying that, “I did NOT get the jab or any jab. This is NOT a reaction to the jab. Thank you for your concern.”

While the world has oh so many reasons to be grateful to this mega-babe, we definitely want to give a big thanks to Jameson for squashing any misinformation that could be harmful to the public.
