Displaying an unmistakable mastery in electronic productions, Brisbane’s artist and producer, Lance, is making music under the name Cleanoize – your new source for edgy electronic bass, cool chillstep and dope drum and bass tracks. Ranging from slow-paced chill dubstep to melodic electronica hollowed out on drum and bass, Cleanoize is one to watch in the growing Aussie electronic-chillstep-DnB scene.
Cleanoize has the ability to find the right mix of surging build ups and epic drops in his high quality production of chilled and liquid-like electronica.
Introducing the beginnings of a strongly DnB-influenced sound, Cleanoize’s self-titled debut Cleanoize, showcases the producer’s signature brand of bass fuelled tracks interweaved with elements of future garage, chillstep and progressive house. Cleanoize conveys the classic electro house sound with a powerful blast of massive drum and bass greatness. Vision marks a progression towards a more downtempo and relaxed chillstep vibe, with a mesmerisingly smooth liquid DnB texture. The Vision is a refreshing bass-filled offering of sweet synths, chill undertones and surreal vocal edits interspersed throughout. Low bass, slow beats and melodic dubstep provide a fresh take on the genre.
With earlier releases Vision and Cleanoize under his belt, Cleanoize is gearing up for his next full-length, Return. We’ve also been lucky enough to get an exclusive track from Cleanoize – Belong opens with a steady, rhythmic pulse, which quickly builds up, intensifying until the tremendous drop. Undulating bass and reverberating drums dance with lingering snares and sharp percussion, creating a fast-paced DnB beauty. The beginning is slow and steady, building up suspense and energy purposefully until its enormous drop into a full-blown DnB wonder, eventually fading off into ambient noise. A real strength of Belong is its ability to transition so seamlessly from slower buildups and breakdowns to the increased intensity DnB.
Brisbane’s answer to Nero, Cleanoize is pushing the boundaries of the Aussie DnB scene. We like.
