Gracie Jean paints a vivid soundscape of a ‘Little Mountain Home’

Emotionally heartfelt, and genuinely raw – singer/songwriter, Gracie Jean is a glistening marvel in her new single Little Mountain Home.

Port Stephens artist, Gracie Jean, is a sparkling storyteller in her passionate debut tune, Little Mountain Home.

The gorgeous indie-folk track paints an oozing soundscape of rural simplicity, nestled in a nature-filled pocket of rawness.

Little Mountain Home opens a rustic panelled door into Jean’s imaginative landscape.

The acoustic melody layered with the songwriters’ melancholy lyrics ignite the nerves, wrapping around the limbs like vines from a tree.

It is impossible not to become saturated by Jean’s honey-smooth vocals, a folky tone, intricately painting the picture of “a little house, with a view of the mountains and a small library in the attic/and I want you there, drinking wine there in the evenings”.

Produced and recorded by Matthew Wykniet from Solomon Steele, Little Mountain Home is an authentic and genuine pull into a glistening dreamscape.

Inspired by her own feelings of anxiety and the desire to escape reality, Jean has created an immersive pocket of what the world could be – similar to the early romanticised work of Taylor Swift or the acoustic pull of Jade Bird.

It is undeniable that Jean has an ability to pour her soul into her music, a rare and vulnerable skill that hits you right in the core as her lyrics echo: “I sit on my bed feeling worthless/it’s an instinct to push my friends away”.

There is nothing left to do but nestle in the wings of Gracie Jean’s honesty and vulnerability, with the beauty that is Little Mountain Home.
