The fuckin’ Catalina Wine Mixer is heading to Melbourne

It’s time to don your finest yachting get up and dust off your aviator sunnies cause the fuckin’ Catalina Wine Mixer is coming to Melbourne this September.

Melbourne’s northside food truck park Welcome to Thornbury is teaming up with South Australia’s Howard Vineyard to host a real-life rendition of the iconic Step Brothers shindig. Bringing with it an impressive amount of yacht rock, captains hats, tasty food, delicious wines and more.

Melbourne’s Welcome To Thornberry beer garden is transforming into the fuckin’ Catalina Wine Mixer next month thanks to SA’s Howard’s Winery.

On Saturday the 14th of September, SA’s Howards Winery will transform Welcome to Thornbury’s beer garden into an impressive wine haven. There will be bottomless wine packages and tastings galore, as well as the chance to chat with winemakers, become a wine tasting connoisseur, and even release some inner rage by stomping the shit out of some grapes. There’ll also be an all-expenses-paid trip to the winery up for grabs.

Prestige Worldwide won’t be making an appearance and there won’t be any helicopters, but there will be a huge yacht parked in the middle of the beer garden, which is equally, if not more, badass. There will also be live tunes from nine-piece funk lords Sex On Toast, as well as a DJ soundtrack of back-to-back yacht rock classics.

Tickets for the Melbourne Catalina Wine Mixer range from $5, which will just cover your entry, to $130, which gets you bottomless wines for three hours, VIP access, and a bunch of other good shit. You can check out all of the different packages available and cop a ticket on the festival’s website.
