Racehorse owner and drug kingpin will be sentenced for importing $68 million of cocaine

Cocaine kingpin Damion Flower faces sentencing for importing 228kg of pure cocaine.

Two of the least ethical things a person can be a part of, horse racing and the cocaine industry and here we have a shining example of humanities greed finally about to face justice for his actions.

Well, for the drug part, not the billion-dollar industry that helps fund our economy despite the horrific trauma it causes another sentient being to endure.

High-profile racehorse owner, Damion Flower was initially refused from one of the lowest ranking positions in the horse racing industry and was unable to secure a stablehand license by Racing New South Wales because of his questionable character.

Less than 4 years later after becoming aware of his wealth, the NSW horse racing operator signed him up for a $1.8 million slot in The Everest race. Racing NSW started to champion Flower as an industry leader.

The shitty animal-abusing conglomerate should have trusted their gut as Flower’s true colours were shown and the double life he was leading came to be public knowledge.

In May 2019, Flower was arrested and pleaded guilty to importing 228 kgs of pure cocaine between 2016 and2019, which is worth as much as $68 million.

As it turns out, Flower had smuggled the cocaine onto 12 different Qantas flights since 2016 with the help of a horse co-owner, To’Oto’O ‘John’ Mafiti, who was working as a baggage handler.

The ABC has recently conducted an investigation into how Flower infiltrated the horse racing industry and concluded that the criminals were able to operate in plain sight.

Australian regulators told the ABC that “Horses are an exceptional commodity for a criminal that has done money laundering. They semi-legitimise their wealth.”

Flowed and Mafiti will face a sentencing hearing in the NSW District Court tomorrow.
