HussyKat has nothing but pure confidence on his latest anthem ‘Celebrate’

Rapper HussyKat continues on his mission to get to the top with Celebrate: a track dripping with wit and positive energy.

Sydney artist HussyKat has hit the ground running in 2017 with his successful debut, Feels Like I Won The Lotto.

The prolific artist continued his climb with the vibrant slice of electro-hip-hop It’s Okay Not To Be Okay. Now, he’s back with the hard to ignore, statement track, Celebrate.

HussyKat

With his off-kilter bars, infectious production, and consistent delivery of smashing singles, HussyKat has reason to celebrate. And celebrate he does, on the aptly-titled single.

The track begins with some dissonant piano chords reminiscent of old-school hip hop. Later on, comes a unique blend of middle-eastern inspired drum patterns as well as some new-future bass. It’s unique, self-produced, and demands attention from the listener. However, the real highlight of Celebrate is HussyKat’s flow and lyricism.

Like a true gent, HussyKat thanks his “mum for the way she raised me”, then proceeds to party hard on the track. The flow is breathless, as Kat lists off reasons to be thankful and takes fire at those that have tried to get in his way. After all, HussyKat will “will never stop until I’m in a Bentley”. The hook is simple and effective, as the rapper/producer beckons us to celebrate, and why we should—friends, family, and being born to win. The track is most definitely is a statement piece for HussyKat, bound to distinguish fans from fakers, and enemies from friends. Come and celebrate, or be left behind. The choice is yours.

Don’t be fooled that the single is all one-note though. Subtly, at the bookend of Celebrate, HussyKat name drops a close friend of his that passed. It’s not all popping champagne and singing along. You have to remember your past, and who made you who you are today. It’s a powerful sentiment, and a rap track that’s catchy as hell. We’ll be celebrating with you HussyKat.
