Introducing the blistering rock n’ roll sounds of Greta Van Fleet

You’ve probably been hearing the name Greta Van Fleet around a lot lately. Although they originally formed back in 2012, it feels a lot like the band emerged from out of nowhere.

With their searing brand of blues-driven rock n’ roll, the Michigan four-piece have been hailed by many as “the next Led Zeppelin“… however comparing them to anyone wouldn’t quite do the band justice.

You’ve probably been hearing the name Greta Van Fleet a lot lately… and there’s good reason for that. If you’re not already on this bandwagon, we suggest you hop on board now.

Since forming six years ago, the band have released a pair of EPs and a string of singles, with their debut album due out for release this coming Friday (October 19th). Across their already-impressive discography, the band stomp through a blistering concoction of blues, psych, and rock to deliver a sound that feels simultaneously nostalgic and fresh.

Made up of lead vocalist and tambourinist Josh Kiszka, guitarist and backing vocalist Jake Kiszka, bassist and keyboardist Sam Kiszka, and drummer
Danny Wagner, Greta Van Fleet’s sound is one built off old-school rock n’ roll – flailing vocals, crunching guitar riffs, and bone-rattling percussion.

While the band are perhaps still too young to be labelled as the world’s next great rock act, their new album Anthem Of The Peaceful Army has definitely laid the groundwork for that label to soon be fitting.

These are still relatively early days for Greta Van Fleet, but we’re expecting big things. We recommend you jump on this bandwagon early.

Anthem Of The Peaceful Army is out Friday October 19th. Pre-order here. Catch the band live at any of the following dates:
