Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dog will take to the stage for the Super Bowl’s 2022 Halftime Show.
The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show has become synonymous with big names and superstar performances, and 2022 will be no different. With five, multi-award-winning artists taking the stage together, there is no doubt this will set a standard for future Halftime shows.
The Super Bowl will take place on February 13 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Dre, Snoop Dog, and Lamar, all being native Angelenos makes the Super Bowl’s return to the city for the first time in 30 years a poignant moment in West Coast history.
Todd Kaplan, Pepsi’s VP of Marketing said, “Artists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the forefront of the West Coast hip hop revolution, so to be able to bring them back to LA, where it all began alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will prove to be an epic, unforgettable celebration of the impact hip hop has today.”
“The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career,” said Dr. Dre.
On the announcement, Jay Z added, “This is history in the making.”

The show will also spotlight the launch of Regional School #1, a magnet high school in South Los Angeles that will open to students next year. Joining the L.A. Unified School District, the new campus is based on a program founded by Jimmy Iovine and Andre “Dr. Dre” Young.
Inspired by the existing USC Iovine and Young Academy, the school offers a unique educational model focused on the theme of Integrated Design, Technology, and Entrepreneurship.
The academy operates on a mission to foster an accessible, inclusive, diverse, and equitable learning community. Pepsi and the NFL are offering philanthropic support for the educational institution and collaborations with partners and the local community.
The purpose of this will be to develop and deliver community-inspired applied learning experiences and industry internships.
