Kanye West and Dr. Dre are teaming up for ‘Jesus is King Part ll’

Just when you thought you’d heard enough out of Kanye West for one year, he has just come out with some major news.

Kanye West and Dr. Dre have announced that they will be joining forces to release a new collaborative project entitled (you better believe it) Jesus is King Part II.

Perhaps surprisingly, the supposed Jesus Is King Part II will be the very first time the two hip-hop megastars Dre and West have ever released music together.

It is clear, however, that working with Dre is something that West has been striving for, for a very long time. West revealed he had been star-struck when he first met Dre back in 2003, but within 30 minutes was begging him to mix his next album.

Dre took to Twitter this morning with a photo of the two captioned: “Ye and Dre Jesus is King Part II Coming Soon”, sending the internet into a frenzy. But while there were definitely mixed responses surrounding Jesus Is King, it appears that there’s a huge level of excitement for its second instalment.

This massive news comes just weeks after a tidal wave of Kanye West-related news, including the release of his ninth album Jesus Is King, the announcement of his intentions to run in the 2024 election, and the declaration of a new Kanye West Opera.

It’s unclear how long it will be before we are ‘blessed’ with the new project. In fact, we are not sure how West will find the time in between church, operas, and presidential campaigns. But if one thing is certain, we are keen to get our ears around whatever these two hip-hop weapons create.
