Jess Locke Performs ‘Late Bloomer’ Live at Enmore

PRESENTED BY

Jess Locke has been a mainstay on the airwaves of late. With tracks full of oh-so-satisfying crunch supporting her effortlessly powerful voice, her sound is irresistible.

For her Live at Enmore session, however, she was flying solo. But it did nothing to diminish her power as she stepped up to the Fender Rhodes to deliver a powerful performance of Late Bloomer.

The message of self-forgiveness in Late Bloomer is one that will resonate for many and Locke’s voice is one that will stay with you for a long time.

Late Bloomer was Mixed and Recorded by Dan Shaw, Radi Safi, and Owen Penglis

Stripping back the layers of her original version, the chimes of the electric piano was a simple, but effective backdrop for Locke’s incredible voice.

Here’s what Locke had to say about Late Bloomer before hitting record:

“It’s about focusing on a more holistic participation in a community as opposed to tangible achievements or success in a world that’s pretty cutthroat and competitive.”
