Jewels releases second single under LE YORA alias with new club heater ‘More Than I Should Know’

It’s the hardest-hitting club song we made,” LE YORA bandmate Jewels said of his jungle-ready new single More Than I Should Know

Jewels has released More Than I Should Know, an eight-minute epic that serves as the Berlin producer’s latest single under just-launched alias LE YORA. More Than I Should Know offers a unique blend of afrohouse and melodic techno, pairing a jungle-ready backing percussion with airy lyricism and a gradually accelerating tempo. “I’ve seen more, more than I should know,” Jewels sings with vocals seemingly befitting an indie record.

The choice of singing style on More Than I Should Know  is rooted in Jewels’ background in songwriting, and serves to underpin what is otherwise a lush and masterfully-produced club banger. Immaculate bassline crescendos give way to clean beat drops, before thumping trap beats set the stage for a quieter backend. Towards the end of More Than I Should Know, Jewels introduces ascendent synths and belts out a final chorus.

The truth from your hands,” Jewels croons elsewhere on the track. “The truth always has a plan.” Scroll down to listen to LE YORA’s sophomore single More Than I Should Know. The track stands as reflection of Jewels’ technical mastery, with assists from the equally talented bandmates of his just-launched alias LE YORA. Alongside Jewels, the producer supergroup also consists of longtime collaborators and Berlin-based DJs SOMMA, yuma and MAGNUS.

More Than I Should Know is the second single of my upcoming album as my new alias ‘LE YORA’,” Jewels said of the single and producer collective in a press statement. “The boys and I came together with a shared vision to write, produce, sing and design the art and music totally by ourselves. I picked this song as the second album single as it’s the hardest-hitting club song we made, and we wanted to put it out right away.
