Kanye West has taken aim at Universal and Sony in his latest Twitter meltdown, before filming himself urinating on his Grammy Award.
Presidential candidate Kanye West has taken to Twitter with what is probably his strangest post yet: a video of himself urinating on his own Grammy Award.
The Tweet comes in the midst of yet another Kanye Twitter meltdown during which the award-winning rapper took aim at his record label Universal and his publisher Sony.
His latest rant hits out at Universal’s ownership of his masters, comparing his contract with the record label to modern-day slavery.
The array of Tweets began with Yeezy putting a spin on the Black Lives Matter movement, tweeting, “Everyone please cover me in prayer… I AM ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE ON THE PLANET AND UNIVERSAL WON’T TELL ME WHAT MY MASTERS COST BECAUSE THEY KNOW I CAN AFFORD THEM … BLACK MASTERS MATTER.”

The hip-hop artist goes onto state, “EVERYONE AT UNIVERSAL AND VIVENDI PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY LEGAL POWER AND USE MY VOICE UNTIL ALL ARTIST CONTRACTS ARE CHANGED STARTING WITH GETTING MY MASTERS FOR MY CHILDREN I WILL NOT STOP I PROMISE YOU IM AM PETTY AND VERY PERSONAL”
For someone that has at times compared himself to Jesus, West is seemingly looking to be a god-like figure for musicians who have fallen victim to record contracts, in a scenario that Yeezus has termed “modern day slavery”.
Kanye then went on to post literally every page of his contract, in a number of Tweets that this author attempted, but failed, to keep count of.
The rant eventually led to the instantly-infamous video of the musician taking a leak on his Grammy Award, in an attempt to show his even greater disdain for the awards ceremony.

Viewed by more than 19 million people, Kanye’s Yeezy shoes can be spotted in the corner of the video. Let’s just hope he didn’t miss the toilet – those sneakers are expensive.
Kanye has been at odds with Universal and Sony for several years now and seems intent on leading the fight for musicians against constrictive contract clauses made by major labels. He further compared the contracts to servitude, asking for other musicians to join him in his fight.
He said, “I need to see everybody’s contracts at Universal and Sony. I’m not going to watch my people be enslaved. I’m putting my life on the line for my people. The music industry and the NBA are modern day slave ships. I’m the new Moses.”
While Kanye’s latest Tweetstorm looks to be an attempt to call out the abuse by major labels of artists’ contracts, it’s hard to take it as anything more than another worrying meltdown.
This is so sad man. https://t.co/C7R58fOEEH

Despite yet another increasingly concerning rant, Kanye still manages to not be the worst candidate for the upcoming presidential election.
