Kee’ahn is a proud Yalanji, Jirrbal, Badu Islander artist who ventured from their hometown in North Queensland to pursue a dream in the Eastern Kulin Nation (Melbourne, Australia).
Following a string of singles from 2023, including ‘Catch The Night’ and ‘Take No More,’ Kee’ahn blessed us with a stripped-back version of their latest release, ‘Sunsets,’ at our very own Noise Machines Studio.
‘Sunsets’ is about connecting to country, taking time off, and slowing down, co- written with producer, singer-songwriter Alice Ivy, in Brunswick.
Kee’ahn’s name, inspired by the Wik people, translates to dancing and playing. Through their music, they pay tribute to this heritage, weaving together mellow tunes with heartfelt lyrics, exploring themes of heartbreak and healing.
