Kellogg’s announce new Coco Pops and Rice Krispies beer

Beloved cereal brand Kellogg’s is turning your childhood favourites Rice Krispies and Coco Pops into beer!

Coco Pop’s lovers can get their hands on the ‘Sling It Out Stout’ while Rice Krispie fans can enjoy a refreshing ‘Cast Off Pale Ale’. And while you might think these Kellogg’s beers are a gimmicky idea, they are actually an environmentally conscious step in cleaning up our world.

Kellogg’s have turned your favourite childhood breakfast into your favourite adult beverage, all while helping the environment.

These beers are being created as part of Kellogg’s sustainability initiative as manufacturers will use leftover cereals so as to help ease environmental waste.

The cereals will be mashed up with the beers to also help the environment due to the fact they can use cereal that doesn’t reach packaging standards.

Last year a limited edition Corn Flakes beer was trialled in the UK where Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for Kellogg’s UK, Kate Prince said: “Our approach has delivered a 12.5 per cent reduction on food waste in our UK sites this year.

So far these beers are only available in the UK but I doubt it will be long before they come down under too so get your eskies ready!
