Turns out Mickey Rourke is NOT a fan of Tom Cruise: “The guy’s been doing the same effing part for 35 years. I got no respect for that.”
In a heated interview with Piers Morgan on Talk TV, American actor, Mickey Rourke criticized Tom Cruise and his entire career, in the most brazen way possible.
When asked about the colossal box office success of the film Top Gun: Maverick, Mickey called Cruise “irrelevant,” before going on to say, “that doesn’t mean shit to me. The guy’s been doing the same effing part for 35 years. I got no respect for that.”
Rourke continued, “I don’t care about money and power. I care about when I watch Al Pacino work and Chris Walken and De Niro’s early work and Richard Harris’s work and Ray Winstone’s work.”
He added, “that’s the kind of actor I want to be like. Monty Clift and Brando back in the day.”

Towards the conclusion of the interview, Piers Morgan asked Mickey if he thought Tom was good at acting, to which he replied, “I think he’s irrelevant, in my world.”
