On what would have been his 74th birthday, two covers of John Lennon’s Mother and Bob Dylan’s Tryin’ To Get To Heaven have been unearthed from the David Bowie archives. Both are now available to stream and purchase on vinyl.
Both tracks feature Bowie’s unique and recognisable vocals, and they hit just that bit harder in the feels knowing that the musical legend is no longer with us.
Mother was originally released by Lennon for his 1970 album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, while Bob Dylan’s Tryin’ To Get To Heaven featured on his 1997 Grammy-winning record Time Out Of Mind.
