MY BABY are spicing up your 2019 with a huge Australia/New Zealand tour

Dutch/New Zealand trio MY BABY are hitting the road to spread their genre-binding, roots-centred dance music into the new year.

MY BABY’s upcoming tour will see this hypnotic trance-pop act playing 13 dates, including Rhythm & Alps (Wanaka), AUM (Aukland) and WOMAD Festival across Australia and NZ.

MY BABY are heading into the new year with a tour destined to have you vibrating on the right wavelength in 2019.

Since coming onto the scene in 2012, they’ve played at big international festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Sziget (HU) and Fusion (DE).

MY BABY mixes gospel and blues sounds with ancient folk melodies, EDM, ’70s funk and a crazy mingling of influences from around the world, including African desert blues, Moroccan gnawa and Indian raga.

Their October 2018 release, Mounaiki ~ By the Bright of Night, narrates a hero’s journey as they search for meaning and identity.

“The labyrinthian dream like world, where the character travels through different ages, inspired us to delve into jazz and ragtime from the ’20s, the American songbook of the ’30s as well as film scores from ’40s film noir and Italian neorealism,” says lead singer and guitarist Cato van Dijck.

Their 2017 album Prehistoric Rhythm entered the iTunes Charts at #1.
