The cancellation of Soundwave 2016 has left New Zealand festival goers in similar situation, with their annual rock festival WestFest in jeopardy after only one band remains on the line-up.
A large number of acts who were set to play both festivals have canned their apperance at WestFest after Soundwave got the axe. Festival promoters released an official statement via Facebook to announce the gloomy fate of the event.
WestFest was set to go down on January 30 at Auckland’s Kumeu Showgrounds.
