The popular breakfast tour returns with a first-ever edition in Brisbane, in celebration of women and people within the Australian music industry.
One of One — the organisation dedicated to elevating women and non-binary members of the Australian music industry — has announced the return of its breakfast tour, set to take to cities across the country throughout Women’s History month in March. In what will be its biggest tour to date, the breakfast series will kick off for the first time in Brisbane on International Women’s Day (March 8).
The tour — which sees the coming-together of inspiring voices within each city’s respective music industry — will next head to Darwin (March 10) and Adelaide (March 15), before rounding out the five-date breakfast series in Melbourne (March 21) and Sydney (March 24) towards the tail-end of Women’s History Month. All dates of the breakfast tour excluding Melbourne and Sydney are invite-only, with a mail list sign-up accessible here.
Tickets for the Melbourne and Sydney editions of the breakfast tour go on sale on February 27, and will be available here. One of One is a not-for-profit charity aimed at supporting women and people within the Australian music industry by spotlighting their achievements. Additional details around speakers and performers at the 2023 edition will arrive soon, but the event has previously hosted the likes of Thando & Sunburnt Soul Choir, The Merindas and Gordi, among others.
Speaking of the breakfast tour’s first-ever Brisbane edition, a spokesperson for One of One said: “The music industry in Meanjin is thriving now, more than ever before. It’s home to so many amazing women and non-binary folk and we cannot wait to get them all together in one room to chat, celebrate and watch some very talented speakers and performers.” Check out the dates for One of One’s breakfast tour across Australia throughout Women’s History month below.
