Melbourne based duo Grey Whistle Test have unveiled their hallucinatory new self-titled EP, and we’re officially hooked on their ethereal sounds.
Throughout the new EP, Grey Whistle Test glide through a hallucinatory blend of indie-rock, folk, pop, and ambience to craft a sound that belongs entirely to themselves.
With woozy vocal lines, ethereal synths, and earthy acoustic guitars, the new EP feels simultaneously grounded and transcendent. By the time it reaches the conclusion of its six song duration, you’ll find yourself completely lost in their rich, textured sounds.
While these are still relatively early days for this Melbourne two-piece, we’re expecting big things. If this new EP is anything to go by, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes courtesy of Grey Whistle Test.
