PREMIERE: Isobel Knight shares her new EP Talking To Myself; five tracks of indie-folk bliss

It was last year, with the release of her The Nest EP, that we were first introduced to the endearing indie-folk sounds of Isobel Knight. Since then, the Blue Mountains-based singer-songwriter has performed around the state, refining her music into something truly captivating.

Now, with the release of her new EP Talking To Myself, Knight continues to establish herself as one of the most promising emerging voices in Aussie music. It should go without saying that we’re stoked to be premiering it for you today.

Blue Mountains-based singer-songwriter Isobel Knight has returned with her new EP Talking To Myself; a five-track collection of indie-folk brilliance.

Throughout the new EP, Isobel Knight weaves together elements of folk and indie-pop to craft a sound uniquely her own. Her instrumentation is simultaneously textured and sparse, while her vocal delivery is both intimate and far-reaching.

Talking To Myself is “change, love, coffee and abandoning any pretence of cool,” Knight says. It was written while wandering the streets of Sydney, and perhaps that’s why her music holds such an observational quality; she’s always moving, always searching.

These are still relatively early days for Isobel Knight, but judging by everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality material.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new EP above.
