PREMIERE: Izack Hunt proves he’s destined for great things on Bad Love

In a relatively short amount of time, Sunshine Coast-based singer-songwriter Izack Hunt has established a reputation for himself as a talented lyricist, mature beyond his years.

On his infectious new single Bad Love, Hunt doesn’t only maintain this reputation, but furthers it – it makes you think “perhaps he’s incapable of writing a weak song”.

Bad Love, the new single from Sunshine Coast singer-songwriter Izack Hunt, is a punchy and addictive slice of soul-infused indie-pop.

With his unique blend of soul, R&B, and pop, Hunt effectively utilises both acoustic and electronic instrumentation to deliver music that seeps deep down into your bones.

The artist’s incredible penchant for catchy vocal melodies and addictive hooks is only getting stronger, and Bad Love is sure to stay in your head for weeks to come.

The new track begins with just an acoustic guitar and Hunt’s spirited vocals, showcasing his emotive delivery. As sharp, carefully placed electronic beats are layered on top, the song builds into a moving and memorable indie-pop hit.

Bad Love is the first taste from Izack Hunt’s forthcoming EP, due out sometime later this year – and judging by this new single, we’re in for something great.

The EP was recorded alongside producer James Russell at Heliport Studios in Buderim, QLD.
