Now, as he gears up to release a new album, Carr has shared a new video for one half of his most recent double A-side single, Free Right Now. It should go without saying that we’re stoked to be premiering it for you today.
On his new video for Free Right Now, Blue Mountains-based singer-songwriter Jimmi Carr presents a homely slice of indie-folk brilliance.
Throughout the new track, Jimmi Carr weaves together elements of folk, blues, alt-country, and indie-rock to craft a sound that feels simultaneously grounded and far-reaching. It’s equal parts familiar and fresh. With earthy guitars and endearing vocal melodies, Free Right Now is the kind of song you’ll have spinning on repeat for weeks.
The track’s new video sees Carr flip between nature-filled and hyper-coloured landscapes to create the perfect visual accompaniment to his message of letting go and finding hope.
Free Right Now features on Carr’s new double A-side single Free Right Now/Moving Target, which is available now through Bandcamp and on CD.
This is the latest in a string of consistently great releases from Jimmi Carr, and judging by everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes.
