PREMIERE: The Tints deliver an unrestrained celebration of life on ‘Sunday 4am’

It was last month, with the release of their track Devil Dance that we were first introduced to the spirited indie-rock sounds of The Tints. Let me tell you, this band really know how to write a chorus. Their music brims with an earnest kind of energy; an emotive and cathartic element that will capture you completely.

On their latest release, Sunday 4am, the group deliver an exuberant and youthful anthem. It’s a song about staggering through the streets at 4am on Sunday morning, with existential thoughts flooding your head and heart – a feeling we can all relate to, and honestly, a feeling we all dearly miss.

Sydney-based outfit The Tints have unveiled their latest single Sunday 4am; an epic celebration of youthfulness… warts and all.

While Devil Dance incorporated more of an upbeat and punchy groove, Sunday 4am is an epic slow-burner. Clocking in at just under five-and-a-half-minutes, the track opens with pounding percussion, easing you into this sprawling emotional journey. With layers of ghostly guitar lines and a vocal warmth that could match Dave Le’Aupepe’s, the track soon erupts into a searing hymn of unashamed life and colour.

By the time of the track’s conclusion, all restraint has been thrown out the window; it’s an all-out, uninhibited celebration of youthfulness — with all its flawed moments of love and heartbreak.

This is the latest in a string of great releases from The Tints, and we can’t wait to hear what they deliver next. Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait long.
