Women Of The Night expand their sprawling sonic universe with two new songs

Since releasing their debut cassingle Most Magazines back in 2016, Brooklyn, New York-based duo Women Of The Night have been oozing out a gloomy brand of proto-punk that will crawl beneath your skin and stay there for weeks.

Now, ahead of the release of their next EP Open All Night, the two-piece have unveiled two new tracks, Moscow Mansions and Be Careful What You Wish For.

Brooklyn, New York-based duo Women Of The Night continue to build upon their sprawling sonic universe with the release of Moscow Mansions and Be Careful What You with For.

Moscow Mansions and Be Careful What You Wish For are the follow-up singles to May’s Leather Glove and Quiet Nights; both of which are also set to be featured on the upcoming EP.

With the release of their two new tracks, Women Of The Night continue to build upon their sprawling and unnerving sonic universe. Each of their releases thus far have added new layers and elements to their overall body of work. Diving into their discography feels like taking the wrong turn down some dark and debaucherous alley-way. You’ll encounter all sorts of bizarre characters and questionable scenes – but rest assured, you’ll be unable to look away.

Like some strange marriage between The Birthday Party, The Velvet Underground and The The, Women Of The Night’s music blends moody, uncomfortable soundscapes with addictive vocal hooks.

On Moscow Mansions, the band stagger through a woozy concoction of jangly guitars and flailing vocals, while on Be Careful What You Wish For, they move through a slower-paced blend of sounds, with breezy guitars, dreamy vocal delivery, and Nico-esque backing vocals.

If you’re not already listening to Women Of The Night, it’s certainly time you started. We’ll be over here waiting patiently for their upcoming EP… but in the meantime, join us in enjoying these two new singles. Listen above.
