Lose yourself in the lush indie-pop sounds of Qualia’s new single Waves

With two singles – Keep Me In Mind and For Your Love – already under their collective belt, Melbourne based trio Qualia have already established their penchant for crafting incredibly lush indie-pop tunes.

Though now, with the release of their track Waves, the band have further refined their sound to craft something completely captivating. If you haven’t already been paying attention, it’s most certainly time you started.

On their hallucinatory new track Waves, Melbourne three-piece Qualia ooze out a hypnotic brand of indie-pop that’ll consume you wholly.

Throughout the new tack, Qualia glide through a hypnotic blend of electronica, pop and indie-rock to craft a sound that’s uniquely their own. Made up of Charlie Ford, Giorgia Deslandes and Will Brewster, the three-piece (formerly a two-piece) ooze out a woozy brand of music that you’ll have no problem losing yourself within.

Waves’ accompanying video is like a technicolour hallucination viewed through the lens of a VHS camera. As one scene melts into another, you’ll find yourself entranced by the band’s audio/visual textures.

These are still early days for Qualia, but judging by what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes from this Melbourne band.

For now, do yourself a favour and watch the video for Waves above.
