Come for a drink, stay for the tunes: Newtown’s Bank Hotel are throwing free gigs every Tuesday night

Hankering for some free events this month? Of course you are! Luckily Cobra Club are at it again, bringing a sleuth of killer local acts to the Waywards stage on Tuesdays.

In case you’re not across it, Cobra Club is a free weekly showcase of Sydney’s best up-and-coming talent. Drop into Waywards at the Bank Hotel in Newtown on a Tuesday night for some cheap beer and great bands – all with zero entry fee.

Cobra Club are back at it again with a series of free shows every Tuesday night at the Bank Hotel – check out Broken Mountain, Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys, BoysnLove, and more.

Broken Mountain will be bringing their experimental but approachable sound on November 20, with support from Midlife’s eclectic mix of post punk grooves and just the right amount of pop and electronica.

Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys will be delivering their classic punk-inspired tunes and have you thrashing around the room in no time on November 27, with support from Married Man’s lo-fi, post-punk soundscapes.

Come down on December 11 and see BoysnLove launch their latest single with support from Elizabeth Fader and Gentle Leader. BoysnLove released their first two singles earlier this year shortly after forming, a spicy pair of angry grunge tunes sprinkled with singable pop melodies.

So, that should sort your mid-week gigs out a little – no more Tuesday nights at home! Come on down to the Bank and show some support for your local music scene.
