Salty Performs ‘Measured In Heartbeats’ Live From Happy

PRESENTED BY

Electronic indie pop artist Salty swung by our studio Noise Machines for a stunning stripped back Live from Happy performance of her single ‘Measured In Heartbeats’.

Released late last year, the single was written on a writing trip in L.A and it’s about love and the one that got away — which is ironic for Salty as she’s very much in love.

Measured In Heartbeats was Mixed and Recorded by Tim McArtney, Owen Penglis and Radi Safi.

This Live from Happy session was made possible by the generous support of AVID and Mojave. AVID is a music company who make the infamous Pro Tools Software, Sibelius and Audio Interfaces and Mojave make world class microphones that are affordable without compromise .

In this session Happy utilised Pro Tools and Avid Carbon Pre Audio Interfaces and the Mojave MA-D Dynamic Handheld Microphone.

Coming in with just acoustic guitar and voice, we were treated to a special stripped back performance of Measured In Heartbeats. On acoustic guitar was Cyrus — an artist himself who’s written and produced some great work on the Australian music scene.

With a stunning voice and clever pop lyrics, Salty will be one to keep an eye on. Measured In Heartbeats see the start of a new chapter for her as she’s got a string of singles under a previous stage name — all worth checking out!

Here’s what Salty had to say about Measured In Heartbeats before taking the stage:

“I love this song, I wrote this song in LA on my first trip there. It’s the first love song I’ve written, which I find hard to write about cos I’m very in love.

So I thought, I’m going to write my own version of The One That Got Away by Katy Perry — that was my main goal and we’ve done it!”
