Serbian PM slammed Djokovic for “clear violation” of COVID requirements

The Serbian Prime Minister is making it clear the country does not stand with Djokovic on this one.

After the world’s best tennis player came down to Aus without a COVID vax, he was told his medical exemption was invalid and blah blah blah, we’ve all heard it a million times. Djokovic’s in trouble.

Anyway, now the Serbian PM Ana Brnabic has gone off about the whole ordeal and what she’s got to say is pretty funny.

In an interview, Brnabic thanks Djokovic for “what he has done for the Republic of Serbia” but said the government will be investigating the champion because “the laws equally apply to all”.

“No one is allowed to breach the isolation rules as it, therefore, puts the health of other people in jeopardy,”

“There are some standards that have to be met.

“In this case it seems to me that if he was aware of it then it is a clear violation of the rules – and what the sanctions are that’s what relevant institutions will have to look into.”

All of this came before the tennis star released a statement apologising for knowingly attending a photoshoot when he had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
