Skinny Hobos return with Lucifer, three-and-a-half-minutes of pure rock chaos

It was last year, with the release of their debut full-length self-titled album, that we were first introduced to the hard-hitting rock sounds of Auckland-based two-piece Skinny Hobos. Since then, the band have toured extensively around New Zealand, refining their blistering brand of music.

Now, with the release of their new single Lucifer, they continue to establish themselves as masters of the hard-rock genre. If you’re not already familiar with this band, you’be been missing out.

On their blistering new single Lucifer, Auckland-based two-piece Skinny Hobos present a relentless slice of chaotic rock n’ roll.

Throughout the new single, Skinny Hobos stomp through a searing concoction of grunge, punk and straight-up rock n’ roll to craft a sound that belongs entirely to themselves. With thunderous percussion, crunching guitars, and flailing vocal hooks, Lucifer will both smack you in the face and get stuck in your head.

Clocking in at a punchy three-and-a-half-minutes, the track is an all-out sprint from start to finish. So brace yourself, these guys are holding nothing back.

Lucifer is the latest in a string of consistently great releases from Skinny Hobos, and judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes. Though for now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new track above.
