StriveAU delivers his hallucinatory new single Hold My Hand

There’s something undeniably captivating about the music of StriveAU. In a realitvely short amount of time, the NSW-based artist has crafted a sound that feels simultaneously woozy and direct; his music floats around your head, but jabs you in the chest with emotional resonance.

With the release of his new single Hold My Hand, the rapper/producer continues to build himself as one of the Aussie music scene’s most promising emerging acts. If you’re not already familiar with this name, we strongly recommend you change that.

On his new single Hold My Hand, NSW rapper and producer StriveAU delivers a hallucinatory slice of genre-bending brilliance.

Throughout the new single, StriveAU glides through a narcotised concotion of hip-hop, indie, and electronica to deliver a sound uniquely his own. With dark, sprawling production and endearingly dreary vocal melodies, the new single oozes with careless bedroom charm.

Across its punchy three-and-a-half-minute duration, thetrack navigates myriad sonic territories—it fades into existence, traverses through a hallucinatory blend of sounds, and fades back out. By its conclusion, you’ll be left with a strange, but ultimately wonderful, feeling of disorientation.

These still may be early days for StriveAU, but judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes. In the meantime, do yourself a favour and listen to the new single above.
