Summer Flake Forever Here & Now Tour

Summer Flake is the solo project of Stephanie Crase, an accomplished Adelaide muso in her own right, with a catalogue of songs under the SF moniker which have been received quite well by the Australian public. Lush, messy and inhabiting the strange spot where minimal meets gaze, You Can Have It All is reminiscent of early Low, Sonic Youth and other fuzzy icons of the 1990s. Don’t let this description put you music fans off though, Crase has the pop music chops to pull this off without sounding like entry level hipster garbage.

In support of her newest video for Forever Here and Now, a sexy 3/4 slow jam taken from Flake’s aforementioned LP, Crase is bringing her live show to various dates around the country, starting this Sunday (30th March) at Black Wire Records in Sydney. If you’ve not been to Black Wire, then you might just be missing out on the greatest informal music space this city has conceived this side of the 2000’s. Loud, intimate and BYO (with a Vintage Cellars across the road), the venue constantly surprises Sydneysiders in terms of booking so consistently awesome acts (Roku Music blew us away there just last week). Just remember to wear black.
