Victoria Beckham confirmed that the thought of her 10-year-old daughter on social media is “terrifying”.
First off, let’s get one thing straight… Victoria Beckham is a damn queen and an icon and on top of being a fierce business owner and legendary Spice Girl, Posh seems like such a good mum! I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Victoria has four kids and somehow manages to be one of the most glamorous and put-together celebs… Maybe it’s the money? Either way, Vicky’s children have always raved about their mother so I’m pretty sure she’s doing something right.
Most of her kids are grown now with her eldest son, Brooklyn at 23 years old (and married!) and her two boys Romeo and Cruz in their late teens but Victoria’s daughter, Harper is still only 10 years old.
In an interview with Vogue, Posh Spice spoke about how parenting has looked a little different with her youngest child and her concerns around her daughter joining social media.
“Harper isn’t on social media, so we don’t have to worry about that just yet. But seeing how cruel people can be, yes it really does [concern me],” the singer-turned-style icon revealed.
“She’s at that age where her body is going to start changing, but it’s about making sure that we communicate a lot as a family, and she surrounds herself with nice friends.
“But it is quite terrifying, I can’t lie.”
Victoria went on to say that Harper isn’t too fussed about growing up quickly and that while she loves to play with makeup at home, Harper hasn’t reached a point of taking it to the streets.
“She’s not one of these kids who are going out with a full face of makeup and a crop top,” Victoria said.
“She actually said to me recently, ‘Mummy, I’ve seen some pictures of you when you were in the Spice Girls and your skirts were just unacceptable. They were just too short’.”
“The David piped up and said ‘Absolutely, Harper!’,”
Oh to be a fly on the wall of Britain’s most perfect family.
“She was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were. I said, ‘Are you never going to wear skirts like that?’ She said, ‘absolutely not.’ We’ll see,” Victoria joked.
The fashion designer and beauty mogul has previously spoken about how close she and Harper are.
When speaking with Metro in 2018 Victoria said: “Every day when Harper goes to school, she walks up the stairs and I give her a kiss,”
“I say, ‘Harper, you’re a girl, you can achieve anything. You can do anything that you want to do’,”
“That’s my message to her constantly. She knows she can do everything and probably more than her brothers can. We talk about it a lot.”
