Victorian youth music organisation The Push Inc has introduced its new mentoring program, SQUAD.
SQUAD will be a part of the Music Industry Mentoring programs for 2016, and will provide women aged between 18 and 25 the opportunity to be paired with industry professionals, attend masterclasses and a weekend where they will work on craft and career aspects with a range of experts.
Kate Duncan, The Push’s creative director said “This is a really important and exciting time for The Push to be venturing into programs targeted towards fostering young women artists and their future careers in the contemporary music industry. I can’t wait to see what personal growth and career opportunities develop for participants through their involvement through this innovative program.”
The program is limited to 10 participants, which will be determined through a competitive selection process. Applications are now open and will close on Sunday January 31.
