Burden Man will be seeing this year off in oh-so tuneful fashion at The Newsagency in Marrickville on December 10.
In a night flooded with deep vocals and deep lyrics, Burden Man will hold your hand as he takes you through a journey into the darkest parts of your own psyche.
The soulful songwriter has finally emerged from his recording cave where he laid down the tracks for his EP Shadows of the Dying, which will be released early next year.
“Music is the best therapy” he says. “You’ll be hearing a set comprised of my deepest thoughts on our eventual demise.”
Just a man and his guitar, Burden Man tenderly puts the torment of depression to a melody in a way that hits home for a lot of listeners. Supporting him on the night will be Burial Grounds, who will treat the crowd to a fusion of blues and shoegaze soundscapes.
We recommend you get to The Newsagency nice and early, as it’s a pretty small venue. Also, its BYO so bring your finest whiskey or your cheapest goon sack.
You wont want to miss this incredibly moving night of music and after party shenanigans in Newtown. Doors open at 8pm, and tickets are both available online or $15 at the door.
