Italian producer TWAN reminds us why he’s an award winner with Carry On

A trailblazer with a burning desire to challenge the path set before him, TWAN (also known as Antonio Marra) is redefining what it means to create electronic dance music through his unique sound design and composition

Following his triumph at the Demolition XXVI competition, TWAN is expanding his horizons, reshaping the landscape of electronic music production, and venturing into the realm of DJ-ing.

A trained pianist, producer and composer, Marra’s compositions have graced feature films and TV shows on platforms like Netflix, showcasing his remarkable talent and establishing him as a prodigious figure in the music industry.

TWAN new release

His recent single, Carry On, secured first place at the Demolition XXVI competition during the Amsterdam Dance Event week. The judging panel comprised notable figures from the electronic music scene, including Joseph Capriati, Kölsch, The Lady Machine, Dave Clarke, Coco Cole, and Orly G.

Carry On emerges from Marra’s London-based studio as the result of bold experimentation — a fusion of house, UK garage and breakbeat. The track captivates the listener with an extraordinary sonic journey, blending futuristic melodies with an aggressive bassline and revolutionary rhythms.

Lyrically, Carry On is a call to persevere: “I try to make sense, but I can’t keep my feet on the ground,” with the repeated question of “how do you carry on?”. In an exploration of resilience, Carry On navigates through the intricate layers of life’s adversity, serving as a testament to the indomitable human spirit.

We are eagerly anticipating what TWAN has in store for 2024. With his exceptional talent and boundless creativity, there’s no doubt that he will continue to captivate audiences and push boundaries in the coming year. Wherever he chooses to share his music, TWAN is sure to leave an indelible mark on the electronic music scene.
