And so it begins. The great Bluesfest drip-feed of 2016/17.
It happens every year – Bluesfest announce a massive first lineup that has everyone scrambling to get tickets, then they slowly add more acts bit by bit. Eventually the lineup becomes something of a behemoth, each year outdoing the last. 2017 is looking to be no exception – they’ve just added two more legendary acts.
Bluesfest 2017 just got even bigger with two legendary acts added to the already massive lineup. Have you got tickets yet?
Joining the likes of Patti Smith, Jethro Tull, The Lumineers and Buddy Guy will be legendary guitar hero Santana and the mighty Doobie Brothers.
This announcement from Bluesfest comes just a week after festival organisers added superstar Mary J. Blige to the bill and is assured by festival director Peter Noble to be just a taste of what’s to come for the 2017 edition of the monolithic festival:
“…check it all out and you will find Bluesfest 2017 is going to go down as one of our great ones…and you ain’t seen nothing yet. And I mean it.”
Personally, we’re hoping for a repeat of this.
