Valley Onda’s debut single Relentless is an awe-inspiring exploration

Sydney three-piece Valley Onda have just released their debut single Relentless, its meticulous instrumentation and clever production making for a hauntingly beautiful soundscape.

With a noticeable kinetic energy, the song is reminiscent of the motions of life and a feeling of helplessness. With heartfelt lyrics alongside meaningful melody lines, listeners are taken on a a musical exploration.

Sydney’s Valley Onda ponder lifes challenges with debut single Relentless, a raw and all-encompassing soundscape.

Starting off as an experimental project between Georgia Fair’s Jordan Wilson and production/drum master Galen Sultmann in Sydney’s inner west, the pair soon found their sound when they gained an added member in producer/keys guru Michiya Nagai. It’s safe to say, the rest is history.

Since the band began, the trio have been experimenting with production sounds, blending electronic and acoustic instrumentation as well as using various synths and string sounds to heighten the overwhelming message of their songs.

Taking over  two years to make, Relentless explores various challenges of the human condition, including mortality and the breakdown of relationships. This is effortlessly articulated through a build up of tension in the verses and an overwhelming release of utter euphoria in the choruses.

Wilson’s clever lyricism and nuanced vocals heighten these feelings, as well as electric guitar interjections that add a simple yet effective extra layer to the piece. With a balance of subtlety and tension, the song is sure to take you on a roller coaster of emotions.

Even though Valley Onda is only just emerging into the Australian music scene, we can’t wait to see whats next for them. We’re sure it’ll be just as good as the first taste.
