Yeah Yeah Yeahs celebrate new album ‘Cool It Down’ with epic NYC show

Yeah Yeah Yeahs performed a riotous set in New York City over the weekend, in celebration of their new album, Cool It Down.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs made a grand return to their hometown on Saturday (October 1), putting on a show-stopping performance at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY, in celebration of their latest record, Cool It Down.

The iconic Brooklyn-hailing indie rockers performed a total of 18 songs to the sold-out crowd, who cheered them on relentlessly, with unrestrained enthusiasm.

“It means the world to me, it means the world to me tonight,” said frontwoman, Karen O to the audience, whilst announcing the dedication of their song, Maps to “deeply soulful, deeply brilliant Asian-American women.”

Before the Yeah Yeah Yeahs made their way to the stage, The Linda Lindas kicked off the night as their supporting acts.
