Andy Golledge performs ‘Light It To The Wind’ Live From Happy

PRESENTED BY

Artist Andy Golledge recently visited the Live from Happy studios with his single Light It To The Wind. It’s a new heartfelt single written when Andy’s parent’s split.

Recorded in a bedroom, it’s his first release after his aria-nominated album ‘Strength of a queen’. Dropped in early October, Light It To The Wind features local Sydney legend, Caitlin Harnett.

Light It To The Wind was Mixed and Recorded by Tim McArtney and Radi Safi.

This Live from Happy session was made possible by the generous support of ATEN and Mojave. ATEN provide innovative solutions for making better connections and Mojave make world class microphones that are affordable without compromise . In this session Happy utilised the indispensable ATEN UH3237 USB-C Docking Station and the Mojave MA-D Dynamic Handheld Microphone.

Giving us an original version of Light It To The Wind in the studio Andy came in with long-standing bandmate Ollie Thorpe on pedal steel, setting a beautiful musical atmosphere while Andy strummed away on acoustic guitar and sang his heart out.

To wrap up the year, he’s touring around Australia at a few festivals and then curating a lineup at Marrickville Bowlo for New Year’s Eve. Stay tuned for announcements for that show.

Here’s what Andy had to say Light It To The Wind about before taking to the stage:

“Light It To The Wind was written 5 years and is about not calling your parents or loved ones — maybe when you should.”
