Dice Performs ‘Tough Love’ Live From Happy
PRESENTED BY
Perth indie-rockers Dice swung by our studio, Noise Machines — using brand new Fender Player Series guitars — for a stripped performance of their song ‘Tough Love’ for our Live From Happy series.
‘Tough Love’ comes from their sophomore EP, ‘Time Will Tell’ released in early May, on Tone City Records.
Fender and Lauten Audio’s support made this Live from Happy session possible, using the new Fender Player Series Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazz Bass, and microphones like the LS-208 noise rejecting large diaphragm condensor.
Here for their mostly sold out national ‘Time Will Tell’ EP tour, Ben, Lenny, Tom and Regan unboxed a brand new Fender Player Series Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazz Bass to give us a brilliant, stripped back version of their song ‘Tough Love’.
In between two sold out shows at Waywards, Newtown, they chose this song from their new 5 track EP that traverses relatable worries, joys, uncertainty and everything in between.
Here’s what Dice had to say about ‘Tough Love’ before taking the stage:
“This song was one of the first tracks that we got to write and record with our new drummer Lenny about a year ago.
It delves into the relationships where you don’t know if it’s best for you to stay in it, or whether or not you need to better yourself and go on by yourself. So this track is all about that and a very relatable song for all Australians out there.”
