Floozy originally started out as a happiness project for members Dre and Leigh, but quickly became more of a priority than they anticipated. The Melbourne alt-pop duo wanted to make feel-good tunes for their mates to dance to, and they have certainly achieved that and more.
Floozy’s 2022 Needle in the Hay entry, World captivates your attention with a gorgeous blend of male and female vocals, modern electronic elements, and a delicious twist of nostalgia. It’s a track that will have you feeling as though you’re at a grassy festival, with your friends by your side, and a cool drink in your hand – the ultimate summer day dream.
Floozy find themselves drawing inspiration from the likes of Tom Misch, SG Lewis, Rufus Du Sol, and The Xx, giving their sound that polished and vibrant electronic pop feel that you will find yourself getting drunk on.
